Technology

When I was in school, there was very little technology used. I believe the fanciest piece of equipment I saw in hich school was in my senior year. It was an attachment for the TI 83 calculator which allowed the teacher to project the screen through the overhead projector. This was a pretty nifty device, but it was seldom used. In elementary school we still used the old reel to reel projectors to watch films on. Every classroom did have a TV or access to a TV and VCR which made media a little more accessible. However, in high school our classrooms didn't have internet access. I know today there is a standard that each classroom must have 5 computers but in my time this was definately not the case. I believe that technology is important and can diversify learning, but it seems to also cause a lot of problems.
